We first worked with Jake Robertz as part of Knight Riderz and then also released one of his first solo tunes on ‘Clipping Paths Vol.2’ a tune which went on to be used on the promotional video for one of the west coasts largest festivals, Lightning In A Bottle. Not Deaf Yet is a 6 pack of happy sub woofers, bouncy and rolling beats, some Halftime, some full Drum & Bass with a little bit of neuro thrown in and all drawing for the well of Drum & Bass and Junglist influences and towards the end, even pulls in some ‘post-Dubstep’. The draw is not only the fact that the beats are dope, but that Jake Robertz has an incredible ear for great melodies and tones, making this pleasurable in both vibe and rhythm.
