Jahan Blakkamoore in late 2015 and it was so well received by Blogs, plays on BBC radio and even charting on YESFM (Sri Lanka's No. 1 Hit Music Station) that we are overjoyed to announce his latest release ’Reggae Sessions’ featuring King Hopeton and Papa Roads. The EP kicks off with King Hopeton’s strong lyrical intent on ‘I Of The Revolution’ and then rolls into sweet dubbed out positive vibes with the vocals of Papa Roads, while Janaka Selekta notches up the time again to close things out with a bouncy Drum & Bass remix. As former lead vocalist for the Hardcore band D.O.P.E., Papa Roads opened up for such acts as Tupac, White Zombie, L7, and H.R. of the Bad Brains … and also has credits on tunes with Die Warzau, Filter, Geezer Butler, Martin Atkins, Mars Williams, Stabbing Westward, Karsh Kale, Dub Gabriel, Dj Redlox, Janaka Selekta, Gods Robots, MC ZULU, RadioHiro and Don Goliath. King Hopeton, has released work with Beenie Man, Sizzla, Capleton, Little Hero, Teflon and many others. King Hopeton was credited by Billboard Magazine in 2009 for producing 12 of 15 rhythm tracks on Little Hero’s number one Billboard Reggae Album “Revelation”. In his solo career as an artist, musician and producer, he has worked with a myriad of talented names in Reggae music, including, but not limited to; Mykal Rose and Duckie Simpson (Black Uhuru), Justin Hinds, Everton Blender, Movado, Prezident Brown and Sizzla, Rapture (gospel) and United Force bands and a number of international groups; Mei (Japan), Ragga Z (Germany) Rocker T, Pyrx Band and Dylans Dharma (USA). His most recent music releases focus on writing dancefloor centric songs without a focus on one genre. Janaka has won a number of awards for his DJing including Best DJ in San Francisco by the largest circulating newspaper in the city (The SF Guardian), in addition to his band winning Best Electronic Act 2 years in row. His intricately designed sets have rocked massive audiences across the US and he has opened for Asian Dub Foundation Soundsystem in the UK and toured India many times. Janaka has also toured extensively with his band Gods Robots (signed to Sony India).
