Los Angeles based artist, Origin, focusses on conveying intense emotions and high-design aesthetic with his musical work. Aeroplane exemplifies a sound made up from Drum & Bass, Dub and Liquid chill-out grooves. Some call it Halftime and some call it Slowfast, the sound is made up of polyrhythmic beats, deep bass and euphoric soundscapes. the EP includes a collaboration with Tha Fruitbat on #Dat CaliLifeTho, that could be the soundtrack of a dub frog scanning an urban swamp for flies. Airplane also has the addition of Origin singing his own vocals, with a truly a standout vocal offering on the tune ‘Grey’. Along with regular Ableton Live performances, Ryan Origin is currently creating experiences with Los Angeles digital artist collective Visual Reality, developing mixed reality applications and content, and working as a music technology educator. Previous collaborations include Photek, Jerome Dillon, George Clinton, Gridlok, Flinch, UFO!, Salva, Reid Speed, Matt Deco, among others.
