Manna Raps & DRMWVR – Keep Your Head Up High
by Manna Raps, DRMWVR
Manna Raps is based in San Francisco and little needs to be said about that City and its reputation. Manna frequently collaborates with musicians from Santa Cruz and that little university and surfer town in California with it’s Redwoods, Hippies and evolving Hipsters also helps to generate some unique characters and blends of culture. This time it’s DRMWVR producing with Manna. DRMWVR released his debut EP on Muti Music a few years ago and has continued to evolve his style and musical influences. This time Manna Raps and DRMWVR bring us an Afrobeat styled tune, with it’s upbeat and melodic positive energy, which is also reflected in the lyrics of the song. Basically a great feel good tune, for lightening any mood into a fresh and sunny spring day. Manna Raps is a San Francisco based rapper, composer and unique being, who creates tunes and lyrics that shape around and over them rather well, he is also previously known as half of the duo HippyTrap. DRMWVR is a Santa Cruz based music producer, DJ, and multimedia visual artist. His creations blur the lines between many styles, cultures, and times. Somehow, DRMWVR manages to weave together an aesthetic and sound that feel both dreamy and dark, tribal and futuristic, earthy and otherworldly. By drawing people into these liminal spaces, his art invites others to walk between realms, and to cultivate their dreams into their lived reality.
