Earlier this year Kemek re-surfaced from stays in Japan (with a few gigs alongside the likes of Hyper) and ongoing battles with tinnitus and released his deconstructionist look at Dubstep on the EP ‘Sine Language’ gaining new attention for him as an artist. He now delivers ‘Certain Frequencies’, the title track is an exquisite voyage that leads the way on a journey that just get’s more ethereal in nature and then deeper still, until you reach the sludgy depths of ‘Lord Tangs’ remix of Seeding The MIDI Cloud. Kemek was Muti Music’s debut artist back in 2002 and went on to become quite a name in Breakbeat, releasing on Bedrock Breaks, Air Dog, Sponge Recordings amongst others and also remixing ‘My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult’ for release on Red Ant & Studio !K7. It is evident on the EP that Kemek has maintained his sensibility for urban music and strong roots dating back to classic rave music of the nineties, when he composed for Silent Recordings as 303 Terrorist.
