We first encountered jOBOT as a collaborator with Ill-Esha and as one of the Headtron agency roster and with the release of Disciples Of Headtron Vol 1 we saw his tune ‘Bottle Of Bumpy’ enter the Beatport Glitch Hop Top 10 and stay there for quite some time. jOBOT continues to evolve as a producer of many styles of music , this time round he delves into al aspects of ‘Glitch’ sounds with tunes that flip from pretty Glitch into Drum & Bass or Glitch-Funk or even Electro House vibes with fluidity and ease that makes it a very fun dance experience. Joe Wendt, aka jOBOT, began his love affair with music fingering the strings of the upright jazz bass at age 12. Never losing track of his classical training, his repertoire voraciously swallowed up every genre, and Jazz cohabited happily with many muses—dearest to his heart, Funk. jOBOT is an original producer of pulsating midtempo grooves and scandalously sexy downbeat melodies. An electronic musician of a whole new type, he fuses an immense breadth and depth of listening and training with funk-fueled bass playing, smooth vocals, and an ineffable balls-out, experimental, and creative spirit. jOBOT takes the live elements of his solo-work to their pinnacle in his electronica group, Continuum. It is a bold and radically new way to experience electric music—glitch infects live drum rhythm, live bass communicates with the textures of synthesized soundscapes.
