Today is a huge day for both Muti Music and Producer Dojo.
MiMOSA drops Rock Bottom today, the single is the start of a series of forthcoming singles coming out monthly, all leading up to his album, 369 dropping in April of 2022. The tune draws influence from all forms of bass music that feature wobbles and stabs, this tune wubs and whomps hard in all the places, and if it doesn’t get your head bobbing or shaking in disbelief then we are concerned for your bassheadedness.
ill.Gates new album, The Arrival is out everywhere now, this album is heavy hitting, the sound design is next level, the melodies are infectious, the basslines come in hot and the production level pushes standards to new heights. This is bass music, taking things to undetermined spaces and formats, some would say experimental, and yet highly accessible at the same time. It will be hard to sit back and enjoy, as the beats will quickly have you bobbing up and down.
We also have a new EP by Ape Suit out today, this time it’s more on the heady half-time tip, think of Ivy Lab with a few more deep whomps and some sweet and gentle melodies, the swag is heavy with this one, but with the edges filed off and a little bit of sugar added. His music always hits those emotional notes and sits on some incredibly deep basslines and just the right amount of melody to getting you bobbing or humming along.
We are ecstatic to announce the new release by SOOHAN. On “Hello Hello Hello”, SOOHAN paints a hopeful and uplifting vibe where the vocal recordings float over a bed of strings and beats, making it easy to get this tune stuck in your head. Download / Stream now The samples in Hello Hello Hello were sourced using the Citizen DJ project from the Library of Congress, a project that allows producers access to certain archives in order to use samples without restriction. Many of the samples, came from the Tony Schwartz collection. Tony Schwartz was an American sound archivist whose life-long interest in people, sound, music, and events led him to record urban folklore and soundscapes in his New York City neighborhood.
Starting as a grassroots project in Baltimore, SOOHAN has taken off as an identity in global dancefloor fusion, effortlessly combining diverse rarities with familiar 808s and basslines. Since his initial east coast success, SOOHAN finds himself touring the US and Canada on a consistent and constant basis, with festival appearances at the likes of Envision, Lightning In A Bottle, Symbiosis, Burning Man, and numerous others. With some seven albums, ten million streams, and a widely celebrated DJ mix series with Global Bass Radio, SOOHAN has hit his stride and shows no signs of slowing.
Cthulhu Basscraft emerges from the depths once again, this time aiming deeper for the 140 Bass crowd with some wind instrumentation and low subs. His signature sound of crushed bass and electrifying digital stabs, along with a good amount of crunchy sounds that tear a hole through the fabric of time, are still evident and definitively create a spark to the tunes. Come with us, let’s dive in.
Red Giant Project once again collaborate with the outstanding Tre Aces to drop a tune of laid back instrumentation with acoustic guitars providing the backdrop for the laying down of some straight hitting conscious lyricism. The blend of voices from Shane Hall and Burkey with the swag of Tre Aces flow, makes this an easy listen to put on repeat.
Mimosa has a new release, out everywhere now. Valley Of Souls is a deep and beautiful journey melodic and introspective beats that instantly touch the listener. The title tune draws heavily on influences like Burial’s beautiful Untrue album, except for every point that makes Burial sound like a grey day in London, Mimosa brings his flare to the organic Garage sounding beats with his signature heavy pads, that soften the sound and bring on a whole different set of emotions. Bones then takes you on a melancholic stroll through nature, the dissonant vocal samples and spaciousness of the tune are a reminder to breathe through the sadness eminent in the tune. The release closes out with Solitude, a tune that can be described as a warm embrace from Mother Earth or some other matriarch, the beats imitating a heartbeat and while you’re back in a womb like place, the vocals serve as comfort. You’ll find it hard not to take a deep breathe and feel the peace and comfort of these beautiful tunes.
