Earlier this year, ThisSongIsSick.com had this to say about the last release by Ape Suit, “Scittering snaps and one off wubs fill the space between minimalist percussion, sinking listeners deeper and deeper into this newcomers trance as he blurs the lines of soundscape and ambient dubstep.” All we know is that he’s one of our favorite finds of the last year and never fails at managing to take us deep into whatever sort of journey he’s composing at the moment. This time it’s more on the heady half-time tip, think of Ivy Lab with a few more deep whomps and some sweet and gentle melodies, the swag is heavy with this one, but with the edges filed off and a little bit of sugar added. His music always hits those emotional notes and sits on some incredibly deep basslines and just the right amount of melody to getting you bobbing or humming along. We can reveal that Ape Suit is based around Sydney, Australia, but the otherwise secretive and prolific producer is also know as Corey, a human from Earth (probably). Corey likes nature, art, 20hz - 90hz and being really kind. His thoughts are generally things like: What does it mean to be human? What the fuck is actually going on here?
