For the past couple of years, Red Giant Project have been a crowd delight at Lightning In A Bottle, Okeechobee, Electric Forest, Lucidity and Same Same But Different festival and are repeating such of that circuit and more in 2023. Their ability to carry a crowd through a multi-genre set of music, carried by great lyrics and vocal performances, a powerful horn section, in addition to the melodic and beautifully produced electronic music underlying it all, is a truly unique experience. Say To Me features both Burley and Shane Hall delivering soulful vocal performances, that come across with an epic raw beauty. The beats are more subtle on this one and the vocal performances ride on a melodic bed of warm bass, that is also accentuated with lead guitar riffs and harmonica that adds to the raw feel of the tune. Since our release of Red Giant Project’s debut album, we saw them featured on numerous Blogs, Podcasts, Radio shows and interviews. Outlets such as Upcoming 100, Hip Hop Weekly and even The Source magazine featured their music with feedback that makes us glow with appreciation. Red Giant Project could be called RnB and Blues pumped up on Bass music. Or just as easily labeled Americana, Neo-Soul Trap, or even Lofi-Downtempo. Ambient poetry, strong hooks and vocal synths dance through gritty, analog sound. Beauty is the intention. “A red giant is a star glowing at its brightest, and that name evokes the skill of the musicians in the group as well as the beauty of the music.” The Source
